The Project...
The Kitamaat Port Development Society (KPDS) is currently in the
midst of a Port Study that will determine:
1. markets and customers for shipping,
2. economics and business case,
3. site locations and engineering needs and
4. a management and organizational structure for the port.
The First Phase of the Study has been completed which has determined
the project has the physical assets to establish an economically viable
break-bulk port in Kitimat. The Second Phase of the study is now
underway.
